Be aware though, that despite Beka being a Belgian company, this pan is made in "PRC" (People's Republic of China, may or may not be important to you). My main beef with it is that the bottom is NOT FLAT. The bottom is a nice thick laminate of stainless/aluminum, but it's just not flat (checked against several reference surfaces, and it rocks on the burner). Otherwise, it's well balanced, and the nicely shaped riveted handle looks very robust. Unfortunately, the non-flat bottom is a deal-breaker for me on a 55 smacker pan, so it's going back ... |
